About Sem

The All-Girl Advantage

4 Sem girls

In the 1970s, when many girls' schools merged with other schools or became coed on their own, Buffalo Seminary chose to remain single sex, a decision that has since been validated by educational research.

According to the National Coalition of Girls' Schools, it has long been recognized that girls' and boys' brains develop at different rates and new research indicates that the difference is even more pronounced than previously believed. There is growing consensus that single-sex schools and classrooms are beneficial to many students.

In addition, girls' schools offer tremendous value to students because every leader is a girl. All the classmates, players, writers, singers, athletes, and stars are girls.
