Ms. Carey Miller
Carey Miller has been a member of SEM's English department for ten years and currently teaches two senior electives and a section of junior World Literature. She has recently joined the History department as well, and is excited to teach World History.
In addition to her role as the school’s Diversity Coordinator, she chairs the English department and facilitates Writers’ Club and Justice League. Carey also practices her love of well-crafted writing by working for the past 12 years as a copy editor for Amherst Media of Buffalo, NY.
Before teaching at Buffalo Seminary, she served as a trustee of the Preservation Coalition of Erie County. She has co-authored several works on regional history, and in 2012 she was a presenter for The Olmsted Parks Poetry Project.
Carey earned her BS in Secondary Education English with a minor in Women’s Studies and her MS in English Education with a concentration in Multicultural Education from the State University of New York College at Buffalo.
