Mrs. Kyle Hopkins
A professionally trained actress and singer who has performed in New York, New England, and London, Kyle Hopkins joined SEM’s faculty in 2010. She is the creator and teacher of the Health/Leadership program, a four-year curriculum whose mission is to “grow gutsy girls.” She also teaches Freshmen Fitness. Mrs. Hopkins is the community service coordinator and the faculty advisor of the Semachords, SEM’s a cappella group.
In 2003, Kyle and her family began a seven-year sailing adventure that would take them around the world, visiting more than 30 countries. Their sailboat became a floating classroom. Kyle believes in a well-rounded education that inspires purpose and positive action. "It is our responsibility as adults – as parents, leaders, and educators – to guide our teenagers to explore and discover, to make mistakes and strive for excellence, and to learn they can change the world."
She earned her BA in music from Smith College.
