Mme. Isabelle Fisher
Isabelle Fisher joined SEM’s full-time faculty after teaching French part-time in 2013-14. She moved to Buffalo in 2011 from her hometown of Montréal, where she obtained her degree, graduating with honors, in French Studies from Concordia University.
A native French speaker, Isabelle enjoys sharing her interest and passion for the French language and French-Canadian (Québécois) literature. Her courses aim not only to foster her students’ proficiency in the language, but also their knowledge of the Francophone world, particularly Québec. She teaches intermediate and advanced French, and French electives.
Isabelle is a member of the Alliance Française of Buffalo and has also worked as an interpreter for the International Institute of Buffalo. She has also taught French at the Elmwood Franklin School in Buffalo.
