More than 3,000 and counting – that’s how many accomplished women make up our alumnae network throughout the world today. No matter where you live, you’re a vital part of our global network of professional mentors and lifelong “sisters” who share the legacy of a SEM education.
As a SEM student, you were mentored by incredible teachers, challenged by rigorous academics, inspired by extracurricular pursuits, and supported by classmates who became your closest friends. You were nurtured by a strong school community that emphasized confidence, leadership, and a lifelong passion for curiosity and learning.
As a SEM alum, you have the opportunity to stay connected to your alma mater in a variety of ways. Visit often. Volunteer. Attend a fundraiser. Host an alumnae event. Offer an internship opportunity. Drop us a line.
However you choose to stay connected, we hope you’ll use this website to learn what’s new and noteworthy – and treasure what remains timeless – “here on thy crowded stair, and long wide hallway.”
Thank you for keeping in touch. And thank you for helping us keep Buffalo Seminary strong and the SEM spirit alive for current students and future generations.
Legacy Residential Scholarship
2017-2018 School Year
SEM will award a $10,000 merit scholarship to an outstanding candidate for our residential program who has been recommended by a graduate, trustee of the school, or SEM family. Residential students live in one of the four historic homes next to the school with a SEM staff member and girls from around the region, the nation, and world. The purpose of this scholarship is to build our SEM community with talented young women who have a connection to the school. To nominate a candidate, contact Director of Admission Laura Munson ‘79 at 716.885.6780 or email.
