Advisory Program
Faculty advisors provide a positive and welcoming environment for girls to meet and discuss various aspects of Sem life. Each advisory group consists of approximately 5 - 8 girls. These advisory groups meet once a week to ensure that all of the students' needs are being met and questions being answered.
Through a student's four years here, her individual advisor monitors academic and personal progress, helps in developing strategies for problem solving, and is generally her mentor. In addition, the individual advisor helps facilitate the portfolio process and student-led parent conferences.
At each grade level, there is a class advisor who oversees collective goal-setting, monitors class dynamics, and gives support to class officers. The class advisor helps students develop their leadership skills and encourages effective participation in the school community. Likewise, there is a faculty advisor for each of the school-sponsored clubs and boards.
