Athletic Hall of Fame

 

Buffalo Seminary's Athletic Hall of Fame was established in 1990 to recognize and honor individuals who have made valuable contributions to Buffalo Seminary athletics either by outstanding participation in the school's athletic program during their student years or by long-term support, direction and guidance.  Alumnae who have distinguished themselves in the field of athletics after leaving the Seminary will also be considered.

Eligibility

  • Any individual who has been a valuable contributor to Buffalo Seminary athletics can be nominated         
  • Alumnae are eligible for nomination upon the 10th anniversary of their class graduation
  • Coaches and Athletic Directors are eligible for nomination after their coaching/administrative career


Nominees who are athletes must have the following characteristics: athletic excellence, sportsmanship, character, leadership and commitment in the field of athletics.  Nominees who are coaches, athletic directors, or other people important to the success of the athletic program will have promoted athletic excellence, sportsmanship, character, leadership and commitment in the field of athletics.

Current members include: Tara VanDerveer '71, Josephine Misner Waterman '26, Lisa Labin '91, Sally Jeacock Munschauer '43, Heads of School Marge Barney and Robert Foster, and our newest members Virginia Deuel '33, Mary (Bibber) Truscott Jebb '47, Deborah Clark '67 and the '94-'95 Crew Team.
