Buffalo Seminary traveled to the muddy soccer fields of Westwood Park in Lancaster to avenge the 4-3 loss at home in the beginning of the season. With determination on our side St. Mary's found we were not going to go away easily. Both teams traded chances and St. Mary's was the first to strike, taking the early 1-0 lead. Not to be out done or out played, the Redtailed Hawks answered back with goals from Sophomore Sarah Obletz and Junior Co-Captain Jaci Smith.
After taking the lead for the first time this season against the Lancers, Buffalo Seminary found they were facing a much different team. As the coach I can say I am very proud of the Buffalo Seminary ladies for not lowering themselves to the poor play and words that St. Mary's displayed in frustration. The ladies of Buffalo Seminary excel in every area of the game, including fair play. St. Mary's was able to tie up the game late, but was not able to find late game heroics against a much improved Buffalo Seminary defense. With overtimes played as well, the game finished a 2-2 tie.
