Harriet [McNulty '26] and Willcox Adsit Lecture Series
Established in 1999 by the Adsits, this endowed fund enables Seminary to bring in distinguished scientists, authors, politicians, scholars and lecturers to share with the school community their expertise.
Joan Louise Kostick Andrews '48 Annual Spring Concert
Established in 2000 by the Andrews to enhance the Seminary music program.
L. Gertrude Angell Scholarship
Established in 1961 as willed to Buffalo Seminary by L. Gertrude Angell, this endowed fund provides for a partial 4-year scholarship provided the qualifications are maintained.
Julia Amram Brock '30 Scholarship
Established in 1994 by the Brock family, this one-year, need-based scholarship was created primarily to encourage admission to an incoming freshman or other grade-level student new to Seminary. While preference is given to relatives of alumnae, the scholarship may be awarded to a new student who does not have familial ties to the school.
Betty Butzer Brown '44 Humanities Chair
Established in 2006 by the Brown family in memory of Betty Butzer Brown '44, this unrestricted honorarium, awarded every five years, celebrates the accomplishment and dedication of a member of the humanities faculty.
Brown Family Excellence in Teaching Fund
Established in 2008 by the family of Captain John Brown and Betty Butzer Brown '44 to recognize excellence in teaching for a young faculty member who has taught less than five years at Buffalo Seminary.
Buffalo Seminary Alumnae Association Scholarship
Originally established in 1924 as the Graduates Association of Buffalo Seminary Scholarship Fund, this scholarship currently offers a one-year partial scholarship awarded annually to an incoming or current student who is maternally related to a Seminary alumna.
Melissa Reed Chudy '78 Memorial Tree Fund
Established in 2008 by family and friends of Missy Chudy, this fund is used to enhance the grounds in front of West-Chester Hall.
Colby-Oishei Arts Program
Established in 1983 by Patricia Oishei Colby '32 in memory of Robert Colby to bring female artists into Seminary to share their experiences with students; to mount a show by the artist; and to purchase a piece of the artist's work which will then become a part of the permanent Colby Art Collection.
Betsy Stovroff Corrin '60 Scholarship
Established in 1998 for scholarships for residents of the City of Buffalo, NY.
Charlotte Cunneen-Hackett 1907 Scholarship
Established in 2008 by the Charlotte Cunneen-Hacket Foundation to provide scholarship to those students who are both needful and have demonstrated academic achievement.
Marion McNulty Dillon '22 Drama Series
Established in 2004 by the Dillon family in memory of their mother, Marion M. Dillon, this endowed fund seeks to enrich and enhance Drama in the Arts Department.
Doris Dunbar Dugan 1906 Scholarship
Established in 1984 by the Cameron Baird Foundation as a partial-tuition 4-year scholarship giving preference to minority students.
Emerson Family Scholarship
Established in 1979 and first awarded in 1988, this fund was established by three Emerson sisters, Eleanor '14, Marjorie '16 and Mary Louise '19, as a partial-tuition, 4-year scholarship.

Carol Coatsworth Faust '40 Scholarship
Established in 2000 by the Faust family to provide a partial scholarship for a girl's four years at Seminary, this need-based scholarship is awarded to a minority student possessing academic achievement or potential.
Betsy C. Greene Memorial Fund
Established in 2004 by the family with no specific designation at this time.
Thomas and Joanne [Rich '56] Healy English Education Fund
Established in 2001 by the Healys with the aim to honor a teacher's outstanding role in inspiring a lifelong love of writing, reading and learning through the study of English language and literature. The annual fund income is given as a supplement to the salary of the awardee.
Jean M. Henrich Faculty Enrichment Fund
Established in 2001 by Mrs. Henrich to be used to provide a summer travel opportunity to a Seminary faculty member whose teaching will be enhanced by that experience.
Sofia Grace Hoover Scholarship
Established in 2008, this scholarship is given to an incoming freshman who has demonstrated outstanding achievement in academics and extracurricular activities. The scholarship honors the memory of Sofia Grace, daughter of Amy C. Martoche '88 and husband Timothy W. Hoover. This four-year award supports the recipient's education and growth while encouraging her to make her own unique contribution to Buffalo Seminary. The scholarship was established by the partners at Connors & Vilardo, LLP, and further endowed by contributions from friends and family.
Jean Wright Hudson '51 Award
Established in 2006 by Lydie Arthos and Joseph L. Hudson IV as an endowed fund in honor of his mother, Jean Wright Hudson '51. To commence in 2011, the award will be presented to a sophomore who has embodied citizenship and virtue throughout her first two years at Sem. The award will be given in each of the student's junior and senior years.
Susan and Edwin Johnston Faculty Fund
Established in 2002 by Susan and Edwin Johnston as an endowment fund with income to support continuing education of the faculty.
Larkin Field Fund
Established in 2007 to update and provide necessary repairs to Larkin Field.
Library Fund
Lipke Theater Fund
Established in 2001 by the Lipke Foundation as an endowment fund with income to be used to enhance the theater department.
Judith E. McDade '77 Scholarship
Established in 1981 by members of the McDade family, this partial scholarship is awarded to a minority student who has strong academic potential and who will exemplify the ideals of the school, as well as give back to the school community.
M. Ruth Fowler Niswander '43 Fund
Established as an endowed fund in 1997 by Mrs. Niswander and her family to be used in support of environmental education.
Elisabeth C. Phillips '22 Fund
Established in 2002 by a bequest as a partial tuition scholarship.
Harry B. Pinkerton, Jr. Scholarship
Established in 1993 under the estate of Harry B. Pinkerton, Jr., the fund provides a partial scholarship to a deserving minority student.
Janet Fuller Pomeroy '38 Memorial Fund
Established in 1995 by the Pomeroy family to benefit the general endowment fund.
Prince Family Guest Lecture Series
Established in 2004 by the Prince family, the series seeks to enhance the Seminary's curriculum by inviting distinguished scientists, authors, politicians, scholars and lecturers to share with the Seminary community their expertise.
Deborah Dann Reed '72 Scholarship
Established in 1973 by the family and friends of Deborah Reed to provide a partial to full scholarship for a girl's four years at Seminary, this need-based scholarship is awarded to a student possessing potential for creative and imaginative work in the field of visual art.
Rachel M. Sacha Memorial Fund
Established in 2005, the parameters of this fund have not yet been defined.
Judith Putnam Smith '54 Music Technology Fund
Established in 2002 in memory of Judith P. Smith '54 by the Smith family for expenditures for computer, synthesizer and appropriate software for the music studio.
Annette Wells Stevens '24 and Raymond Donald Stevens (Trustee 1949-51) Faculty Fund
Established in 2002 by the Stevens and Wilton families as an endowment fund with income to support continuing education of the faculty.
Trimmer Educational Chair
Established October 28, 1987, under the estate of Perry R. Trimmer as an endowed fund for the purpose of an Academic Chair in the History and Government Department.
Dorothy Duncanson Walker '43 Building Fund
Established in 2008 by family and friends Dotie Walker, this fund is used to enhance the building and grounds of Buffalo Seminary.
Alma E. White 1894 Scholarship
Established in 1968 in honor of Mrs. John Lord O'Brian (the former Alma E. White) to provide a full-tuition scholarship for a needs-based recipient throughout her 4 years at Seminary.
Gracia Grieb Whitridge '25 Scholarship
Established December 1996 for scholarships.
Elizabeth McNulty Wilkinson '25 Poetry Chair
Established in 1986 by the McNulty family as an endowed fund with income to be used to sponsor poets, in order to enrich this aspect of the English Department's offering.
