Welcome and thank you for your interest in Buffalo Seminary. As Director of Admissions, I am eager to guide you through the admissions process and to introduce you to the school's mission, philosophy, programs, traditions, and exciting new initiatives. Sem is proud to be a school with an international focus that promotes excellence and personal growth for each student. We encourage all of our girls to have a global awareness and to be leaders in our multicultural world.

The decision to pursue an independent education is an important one. Since 1851, Buffalo Seminary has been at the forefront of girls-only education. What's more, Sem is the only all-girls independent school in Western New York. At the core of our curriculum are challenging academics combined with a solid fine arts and athletics program. But also present is our warm, nurturing environment and a strong sense of community unlike any other school. In fact, our students often say that Sem is a "home away from home."

The best way to explore Sem is to visit our campus and meet our students and faculty. When you walk through the door, you will feel the difference. I encourage you to call the Admissions Office to schedule a tour and to see for yourself why there's no place like Sem.
