Message from the Head

We expect Buffalo Seminary graduates to take their place as leaders and citizens in a rapidly changing world. At Sem, every girl matters. In small classes, our students are encouraged to expand their skills in science, math, and technology. They develop the confidence to think about, write, and debate their point of view. They speak at morning meeting; they lead the clubs and organizations; they dance, sing, and act; and they push themselves on the sports fields. They are involved and they give back to their communities.

For the past decade, research has confirmed that girls experience success and gain confidence that lasts a lifetime when they attend a single-sex school. Sem graduates offer strong examples of the leadership, scholarship, and service components that are part of their background. Our alumnae also speak of the talented teachers who encouraged them and of the great friends they made who remain a part of their lives.
