Carey Miller is in her 12th year as a member of SEM’s teaching faculty. She currently teaches World History and senior English electives. She is the faculty advisor for Writers’ Club and Anime club. Additionally, she is an enthusiastic member of our school’s Capstone program.

For the past 14 years Carey has practiced her love of well-crafted writing by working as a copy editor for Amherst Media of Buffalo, NY.

Before teaching at Buffalo Seminary, she served as a trustee of the Preservation Coalition of Erie County. She has co-authored several works on regional history, and in 2012 she was a presenter for The Olmsted Parks Poetry Project.

Carey earned her BS in Secondary Education English with a minor in Women’s Studies and her MS in English Education with a concentration in Multicultural Education from the State University of New York College at Buffalo.

Her twin daughters have just entered Buffalo Seminary's freshman Class of 2021.
