@Summer at SEM day camp from June 25-August 3, 2018 for girls entering grades 5-9.
NEW this year is Sleepaway@SEM: July 8-28. 1-week sessions of overnight camp in our beautiful student residences adjacent to the school. Perfect for families who want their daughters to spend some time in Buffalo, perhaps with a visit to grandparents on the weekend or for campers to first experience sleepaway camp without going for long sessions.
NEW this year is Immersion@SEM: July 8-28. Girls ages 11-16 from around the world can learn English and explore independence in a safe and beautiful city. Immersion classes are given in the afternoons so campers can take any Summer@SEM classes in the morning, including sailing, Learn to Row, and squash.
Back this year: Fashion Lab NY, a week of exploration of current brands that raise social awareness and inspire us to pay it forward. All students will sew two items and give one to a designated organization. Coding using GHERTY the Robot and Lights, Camera, Action a 2-week video production course. OF COURSE, FAVORITES like Just Desserts, Culinary Capers, and Creative Chemistry are on the schedule.
New classes this year include: Money Matters financial literacy for teens, Dolphin Tank (SEM's Shark Tank), Theatre Design, Writing & Storytelling, Yoga, and Money Matters will teach personal financial literacy. There will be whole mornings of Learn to Row at the Buffalo Scholastic Rowing Association, Sailing at the Buffalo Yacht Club and a whole or half day week-long Squash Camp with Mike Macdonald, the Connecticut College squash coach.Find all the courses described here.
