Build your path to a healthcare career at SEM and D’Youville
Through a new partnership with D’Youville University, students can complete Grades 11 and 12 at SEM while earning university credit and preparing for a guaranteed-admission pathway to D’Youville.

A Unique Path Forward
For students who already know they are interested in healthcare, human behavior, nursing, or pharmacy studies, the traditional route is not the only route. SEM and D’Youville University have created an accelerated pathway that allows students to begin university-level work while completing high school with a clear next step after graduation.
SEM
EARN COLLEGE CREDIT WHILE IN HIGH SCHOOL
During junior and senior year, students can complete coursework and earn dual credit equivalent to their freshman and sophomore years of college, with the potential to graduate with both a high school diploma and an associate degree.
D’Youville University
ACCELERATE TOWARD A PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM
Students who successfully complete the pathway are guaranteed admission to D’Youville with up to two years of college completed and, depending on prerequisites and program requirements, could enter a professional program after just one additional year of undergraduate study.
The acceleration is extraordinary, but the high school experience still matters.
At SEM, students are known, challenged, and supported by teachers who care deeply about their growth. Small classes, strong academics, and a close-knit community help students build the confidence, independence, and curiosity they need to thrive in college and beyond.
During their time at SEM, students participate in an immersive, structured healthcare career exploration curriculum.
Workshops, healthcare demonstrations, career panels, observational/shadowing opportunities, interaction with university students and faculty, and other structured career exploration are part of the experience.

This pathway may be a strong fit for students who are academically motivated, interested in healthcare or professional study, and ready for the independence and challenge of beginning university-level work during high school.
