Theatre Arts

The theatre department mounts two major productions each year: one in the fall and one in the spring. All students may audition for these shows. The theatre production class assists with the building of sets, costumes and props. Students are also a big part of marketing and ticket sales. SEM's all-female performances are directed by Ms. Drozd, with the entire production run by the students. Buffalo Seminary is fortunate to be in a town with so many theatre professionals, who from time to time, are able to work hand in hand with our students.

Play rehearsals are usually from 3:30-6:00 p.m. during the school week. We also hold weekend rehearsals, especially during the final weeks leading up to opening night. We try to work around sports and clubs, but students must understand their own need to prioritize and follow through on commitments. We do our best to work with the athletic department to allow our students to have as many opportunities as they would like to try.
